I can only sing the praises of Mario Policicchio. He’s smart, interested in the details and fair in price. Several years ago he tiled my patio and did a nice job. He also replaced the concrete sill under the front door. This year he renovated the basement, first repairing and then repainting the block walls and then re-tiling the floor (I had a professional asbestos-removal company remove the tile). He also removed an old utility sink with a hideous surrounding cabinet and replaced it with a new stainless steel sink. Everything looks great. The fun part was creating a design for the floor with two colors after he recommended using vinyl composite tile (the concrete floor was uneven and vct file was a good choice). After much trial and error I found two colors and a pattern that I liked and Mario was exceptionally pleased with the result. It looks so good that I’m thinking of having a basement reveal party for my neighbors.
